I made a purchase online, order number XXXXXXXXX hoping to get it after 2-5 days per the online statement boldly made by the Boardmans online team. To this day I still haven't got it. I've been sending emails and been told that the matter is being escalated but no results, I called in one time and the call centre promised to call me back to inform me but he never did. I recently moved in to my new apartment and thought the convenience of online purchase would be helpful, little did I know I was causing myself stress! Now my emails are being ignored! Is it possible for me to cancel the purchase or escalate it further?

After all the broken promises, notify them you're cancelling via HelloPeter.com making certain they understand why. See what they say. It occurs to me Boardmans is not exactly the cheapest and you could potentially be doing better elsewhere, so no need to suck up bad service.

By giving the order number you have opened the door to potential social engineering or fraud. Mr X could call and say he needs to change the address and then you will never get your order again.

You could call your credit card company and reverse it on their side?

I would also rather log a dispute with your cc company or try and contact someone important at boardmans. Forget the call center after you have given them a fair chance to sort out the mess.

Thank you for making me aware of, I just started using online forums, will sure to be careful next time. And thanks for removing it from the thread.

Its been 7 weeks now since I made the purchase. I just sent my request via hellopeter.com as advised, will call credit provider tomorrow to arrange an instant cancellation.

Online orders should be left to specialist online shops. Had a similarly shocking experience with makro's half-assed attempt at offering online shopping.

Go to your bank, lodge a dispute and get a reversal done on your credit card.
Its simple.

As for Makro, I'm about to send them a rocket about their online ordering system.... They've only refunded about 30% of an order they cancelled.
