Because he has been in prolific form for Toulon. Not quite sure why Bakkies is there.
Because he has been in prolific form for Toulon.
Because he has been in Europe long enough now to have some insite into local conditions.
Because playing for a French club he will understand the French lineout calls when the Boks play France.
Because he has a wealth of experience and a physicality to his game that few opponents can tolerate.
I want to know why Louis Schreuder is there!!
When you have a player of the calibre of Rory Kockott about to earn a French cap! In fact he might even play against the Boks!!! Ludicrous!!
What about Scarra's selection???? And why we going over with 3 hookers??
Anyway, we need to get behind the Boks. This is going to be a very tough EOYT!!
I think Scarra is good enough to be there but he won't really get a chance to play as Bissie and Strauss is ahead of him.

Player of the year in this years French Super 14, in outstanding form with the boot, an imperative at test level and so useful when your no 1, Morne Steyn is so horribly out of form.

Every pack needs a cowboy. Bakkies is it!! He makes life uncomfortable for the opposition.I think someone like Bakkies
what concerns me is the amount of blatant foul play he brings to the game.
Look at all those clips posted above and you see a player who is as tough as nails and intimidating. But what concerns me is the amount of blatant foul play he brings to the game. Like Schalk and Butch James in their early days, he too is a watched man as he has a reputation for this type of play.
For sure it is not a game for woesies but he crosses the line too many times.
Just fear that he could cost us a man (yellow card) as well as points.
