The IRB will bring charges of misconduct against Saru after the Boks’ wore white arm bands against the Lions at Ellis Park.

In a press release on Monday evening, the IRB said it ‘takes the view that such an act demonstrates a clear disregard of the disciplinary process and does so in a manner which brings, or has the potential to bring, the game into disrepute.’

Retards  What about my view that the IRB is a useless bunch of twats that is ruining the game of rugby with pettiness, victimsation, bad decions and stupid rules?

They're throwing the book at us. It's the only way they'll beat us. Ban all our best players.

We got plenty more. Bring it!

And Bakkies keep at it boy!!! You are a gem in the team and a hard worker

I agree that the irb are bing petty. But i think the bokke are being very childish in how they are handling this. To write JUSTICE on Victor Matfield's head is not very professional.

They should be giving intelligent comment with the idea being to sway the masses rather than this nonsense they have chosen to do.

IRB is biased and cowardly. Compare their comments on the Alan Quinlan and Schalk Burger eye gouging incidents and the rest becomes self-evident.

This seems to be happening in most sports now that involve heavy contact.

IRB can goto hell - fsck them!

...and in what comp are the Boks going to play then??

Whatever the rights or wrongs of referrees' or judiciary decisions there are clear cut rules on what can be said against that, otherwise you would not have control and/or you bring the game into disrepute.

The saffers seem to think they can mouth off at the decisions or clearly poke fun at it...reasonable adminsitrators and followers think otherwise.

The saffers are also paranoid that they have a target painted on their heads...the rest of the world doesn't think so.

Comments here refer to the video showing him using his 'hands' to clean out before charge...yet when I click on video it most likely gives me a link to another one showing him not using any arms/hands.

Just forget about it and win the next game...this whinging is a bit over the top.

There...go ahead and flame....

...mmm... Let's see. We are the best team in the Rugby World. We have more saying power than even the IRB. This kinda reminds me of the little power trip that happened in F1 and what happened when all the BIG players threatened to start their own Series away from the governing body?

Seriously, the IRB is turning this game into a game for woosies.

The Springboks are allowed to voice their discomfort. And if the IRB wants to kick them in the nuts, SA should just remove themeselves from the IRB and sort their own little Cash cow.

This has happend all over the world in all Sports:

Power trips does nothing but hurt the Governing bodies in the long run. They should learn to STFU from time to time and let the people who pay their salaries have a say from time to time ;)

The IRB isn't Rugby, the players and teams are.

Ah the cut and thrust of online debate.

There is no vendetta against SA, and the actions of the Springbok team on Saturday was embarrassing. Concentrate on winning the game, concentrate on not gouging the eyes of your opponents - and then worry about what you consider to be fair/unfair (bearing in mind that Botha's own team-mates may not be in the best position to make an unbiased decision about Botha).

They have the masses behind them, and even most of the B&I Lions players said what bakkies did was not wrong.

What comp would you want to play in that does not include the boks?

If the boks break away im sure there will be teams to follow.... The IRB imo holds to much of an Holier than thow attitude and in effect they say they can never make a mistake and all their judgements are final and flawless...

Have a look and tell me how the B&I lions nr2 does anything different barring than coming in from the side? Only difference is Bakkies went in harder.

When you have been targeted like SA players have then there is a point that you reach that you say: "Enough!". And then you make a stand and remind then that the Boks are a BIG drawing card in World Rugby.

The saffers are also paranoid that they have a target painted on their heads...the rest of the world doesn't think so.

Even with all the fair banning / warnings agains our players we are still kicking arse. Ps we have won 2/4 WC so atleast there we are by far the best.

i feel it was right, they all did it as a team and everyone believed that bakkies was wronged, they had appealed the decision which was turned down, what more were they to do, ask nicely for them to let bakkies play??? they did it as a team and im sure they will face the consequences as a team.

they have now attracted the attention of a lot of people and if you read some overseas comments people say, yeah it was a bit silly but the IRB are twits and somebody needed to point this out!

If SA was to leave the IRB I'm sure the All Blacks and Aussies would follow.

With out those 3 nations there is no Rugby ;) All Rugby teams around the world play only to win on of these 3 teams. Without them there is no international rugby scene as it will be second rated with second rated nations.

IRB needs to realize this and be more open to critisism or they might be on the wrong end of the stick.
