Morning, I'm rather busy today so I'll post this thread and check up on it later today.

Right, first things first. Did anyone see the NZ team playing Australia?

I have noticed one thing in that game that SA lost a long time ago, the hunger to win. Don't read this part wrong, SA loves to win but we've been on top of the wave for a long time now, I see NZ as the team that has the fire burning inside them wanting to bring it all and give 110% to make sure they win.

Seriously, I have never seen 15 players so fired up....

That being said, I'm sure PdV watched the same game, and what happens? Adi has a so called injury and is sent home, now being replaced by Olivier  Adi shouldn't have been in the group to begin with  (Personal choice) Fourie has the same so called injury but remains in the team (confused)

I see everyone very confident that SA will win in Bloemfontein, I am however not so sure and I see NZ taking it by 10 points at least.

Now, do you guys think losing to NZ will be a wake up call to PdV and the Boks or will they go into a downward spiral from there? (They nearly lost the plot agains the Lions and the press could smell it)

I'm guessing that this Tri-Nations will be the begining of the end for the Bok reighn.

I hope I'm wrong :(

When the Bokke meet the All-blacks .. this is the reason I love rugby.
Really good to hear that the All-blacks have that murderous spirit back.

I shall be watching and cringing and loving it!

Saturday 25th July | Vodacom Tri-Nations | 17:00 | South Africa v New Zealand | Vodacom Park, Bloemfontein

Will comment on this after the game :p:D

I read a piece by a sport journo and it said that SA was only good for 50-70 mins on the whole lions tour. IOW 50-70 mins out of 240. He asked the question: "Will SA play for the whole 80 mins every game?"

I can not see ANY team atm beating us if we play like we did for that 20 mins in the first lions test. But if we will play like that for a big enough part of the game is another question

Its not always about winning, obviously its nice to win.

But the great teams love to play against eachother.. thats the nice thing about our Rugby Culture.

These teams are born with this sport and love to watch and play it. Sure sometimes we win or lose. You learn from your mistakes and try to better on your tactics & performance.

Lets see what Peter / DIck Muir is upto this weekend :))

Except for Chilliboy and Januarie it is the best side chosen this year.

Would have picked Guthro in Chilli's place (no other cover if Beast gets injured)
and Vermaak or Kockott in Januarie's place. (Obvious)

I would rather pick another forward in Januaries place as Pienaar can take scrummie if need be.

Maybe another hooker to replace bismarck.

John can cover at hooker if needed. I don't see the need for 3 hookers.
Rather get another loosehead. If Beast gets injured we don't have any cover.

I can't remember if Jannie Dup can play both sides:confused:

Read my post again :p

I say in januaries place ;)

I agree 100% with you that in Chilliboy's place we need Guthro.

Then In januaries place I would pick another forward for the bench :)

And I don't think PdV wants to move john around.

Lol, thats for the wise men to decide :p

Hell I think Kuun is coming up the ranks strongly as leader and hooker but he still lacks a bit imop for International level.

Wepener is good but for some reason he doesn't look like international qaulity.

Strauss I think because of his test experience.

+1 on Strauss. He has been playing excellent rugby.

Where is Gary Botha? He still playing at Harlequins?

Yeah believe so, but seriously dout that he will be called back.... He was one of the "overlooked" hookers in SA.

So strauss is the elected player by MyBB bench critics :D

all i can say is that its going to be one of those epic encounters! Strange though that they are playing at 5 instead of 3, I always believed that playing at 3 gives us an advantage, especially inland, because of the dry hot air that the opposition aren't used to.
