So then who are you to say that pulling 500gb on a home uncapped is being abusive and should be on a different product?

Remember, as soon as you put a limit on an uncapped product, it's then capped. Therefore mwebs uncapped should not be advertised as uncapped as they are now placing restrictions on their product to limit the amount of data a person may download.

I'm just saying that 500GB may be in the grey area. Usually ISPs only target the really top users as there's no grey area there.

and in your Mweb opinion anyone complaining they received a threat from Mweb whilst they downloaded less than 500, 450, 400, 350, 300, 250 GB (choose your pick) on a 4M premium account are liers?

Strange now that Mweguy and Kie stopped responding to the justified abuse from member in the Mweb BS the consumer thread here in these other threads pops up two individuals to defend Mweb's AUP's. Very strange indeed.

In this case they're targeting people using above 100gigs. So remind me again why you're still arguing?

Any number would be arbitrary. Everyone has different needs.

You're not arguing about their needs. You're arguing that certain usage on certain accounts is not acceptable. Not sure why I have to point this out to you.

So what are the numbers then? If you're going to continue to refuse to give numbers, then stop that line of reasoning. It's quite simple...

According to [-]MwebGuy[/-]Chevron all those members claiming so are outright liers.

I don't think I've ever used that in a month. But if I did, and was throttled because of it, I'd be pissed off no end...

I can't see how not to cross that line with more than one person. Just for myself alone I've got bnet downloader with 15gb in its queue, before that I had steam of another 10-15. That's already 30gb gone in a few days. I'm also contemplating downloading rocksmith when I get my guitar to usb which is another 12gb. That's already 42 then. That's almost half of it :D

Yeah I'm doing 200+GB a month, everything legitimate, and I'm not even trying.

Long story short, Mweb obviously have numbers in mind, they can't divulge those numbers because that would be tantamount to admitting that they're falsely advertising services.

I'm wondering what the CPA says about paying for something without clear outlines of what that something actually is? I'm not a lawyer, nor a big fan of the act, but perhaps it can be applied to this situation?

This is all about trimming fat though. Cut out the bigger users, increase profit and abuse the lack of knowing any better of their current users. I think they did a pisspoor job of notifying their customers and managing the fallout of this mess. They should take a leaf out of Vodacom's book as to how to screw people over without them complaining too much, but I digress.

As a matter of interest - pretty important interest - has anybody who has gotten the warning letter been a DSTV premium (or whatever it is called) subscriber?

Please. Can someone tell us what is mweb fair use policy data limit? If we are getting emails for such low usage. Really, getting a email for 25 gb's is just *****ing retarded. I guess people in mweb never heard about crunchyroll and youtube :/

Its a changing thing decided in smokey rooms. Mweb doesn't want to tell, but you must keep within those limits :erm:

Yip - Admittedly only 1MB premium - and using an average of about 140GB. However likely to soon be an ex-client of MWEB. Still waiting for some responses from MWEB Guy.
