Boycott MWEB. Because they don't care if you leave...

Mweb have nothing to worry about with me on my 4mb uncapped, for that matter, neither any one of the other backup 4 current isp's I have, TELKOM (spit) do a sterling job all by their lonesome selves of restricting whatever bandwidth I have at any given time (mostly during waking hours).

And truth be known, Mweb is the best of the bunch (that includes, Afrihost,Plugg,Telkom,OpenWeb)

I beg to differ. I switched from MWeb Premium to Afrihost Business and it's been great. Excellent latency, same price per month and totally unshaped performance. No complaints.

That's debatable.
Not for me it isn't.

Yes, it makes you look so clever posting pictures

I am happy for you, however that is certainly not the case where I am at least in my experience with the above mentioned is isp's

Again, ymmv

no the crime committed is particularly heinous - they are deliberately misleading customers and branding customers "abusers" on the sole basis of the quantity of data consumed without furnishing any parameters for the threshold. Amount of data consumed has nothing to do with abuse.
Of course they are and it is being eaten like hot cakes. However this shouldn't surprised us too much, because we've all become complacent towards a lot of things.

- unfortunately getting down to finalizing this damn formal complaint is just not happening :( so its still sitting on the to do list. 7 pages with 6 applicable undertakings by MWEB referenced and counting. Life would be so much easier if Hershaw just took responsibility for MWEB's shocking deterioration and apologized for and retracted these stupid notices and threat to throttle.

It will happen :)

Glad to say I've never been a MWEB client!

Me too! I was thinking of getting MWEB for my flat next year, but now I heard they throttle you based on usage I ain't moving over to them!

Its really sad that an ISP which used to be one of the top ISP's in SA now has gone to ****.

Mweb has finally (after 6 phone-calls, 8 emails and 3 escalations on forum) migrated the line back to Telkom. I must say that I found my interaction with Telkom really pleasant (in contrast Mweb's customer care- and migration-departments arrogance was just embarrassing). Will switch to Afrihost Business tonight and hopefully will be smooth sailing from then...
