WTF? Youtube in 720p is abusive then......best stick to 240p.

They haven't clarified what resolution is okay on their network. I imagine 240p could get 1Mb and 2 Mb users in trouble as well...

It sounds like they would just love to block all video websites but had to settle with vague policies instead.

Better switch ISPs if you want to see stuff like this:

Nah I'm with Afrihost so no problem but I used to be with MWEB. I got an abuse email last year for downloading a large torrent at full line speed when they always claimed that torrenting was fine because they'd manage it (shape) on their network. Guess that was a sign of things to come but I left a few months after that.

Good evening Gentlemen

I was kicked off the MWEB network this evening for downloading a torrent, which was a large one. I stopped the torrent, waited a while and now the line connects again. (cut off as in denied authentication).

I am willing to bet R100 the letter will be in my Inbox, latest Monday afternoon.

I have read the posts in the past few days it appears to me they are becoming a bunch of *******s now.
This time though, they have gone too far. Time to change.

Which is the best? Openweb, Afrihost or Axxess?
I pay for the bandwidth and its my right to download stuff, within reason. My computer is off when I am not home (for other reasons such as lightning being a problem) so I only download when I am home, and awake, which is maybe 3 hours each weekday and on weekends maybe 8 hours total (as I spend my weekends doing family time and on the XBOX). I only use torrents infrequently since the real quality stuff I get via normal HTTP download.

I might not be a network 'abuser' but I'm simply not going to wait around to find my service throttled one day, afrihost and IS tried that one day and I promptly left the same day.
Imagine your 4mbps account is throttled to 2mbps for a whole 30 days, yet you pay for a 4mbps service, that's day light robbery in my books.

I'd either pick Plugg, Openweb or Afrihost. Quite sure all three provide trial accounts.
