I'm on Ferndale's side (where the Total garage with Bonjour shop is). Vumatel really effed up my front lawn
I made a note of the irrigation system on their app form. So waar as vet, they damaged 2 pipes under the ground

Stop on by the Brackenfell North thread I am also in Ferndale and they also damaged my irrigation but where there the next day after logging an issue to fix it. Thing is the workers do not know when they damage pipes underground when they are not on, so you just need to contact the person in charge of our area, his name is Jason. I'll send you his contact number in a DM, he is very responsive and helpfull.

I have signed up with Afrihost as I am with them for years. A week after my sign up they already sent my router, D-Link DIR825 AC1200, no cost. And installation also free. Never had issues with them.

For your convenience have a look at the rollout schedule below to get a better understanding of which area of the build you fall into. The rollout schedule indicates that:

Construction will happen in the specified area
Each area will "go live" once civil and fibre work is completed in that area
The Map will show you a "construction start date" for when trenching activity can be expected in your area
It will also show you a "forecast fibre ready date" for when you can expect us to start installing into homes in your areas

Currently, the status of the areas is as follows:

Area 1: Kick-off meeting scheduled for 29 Jan
Area 2: Kick-off meeting scheduled for 29 Jan
Area 3: Kick-off meeting scheduled for 29 Jan
Area 4: Kick-off meeting scheduled for 29 Jan
Area 5: Awaiting confirmation of the kick-off date
Area 6: Kick-off meeting scheduled for 29 Jan
Area 7: Awaiting confirmation of the kick-off date
Area 8: Awaiting confirmation of the kick-off date

The re-instatement of your driveway and other trenched areas can take up to 3 weeks to complete, your patience during this time is appreciated.

Please keep in mind that this is a large-scale civils project and the forecast dates can change. As grateful as we are for the rain, this can also affect the build. We will keep you updated on any date changes.

Been seeing some conduit tubing next to Brackenfell Blvd and Helling turn off. Things are finally starting to ramp up. Hope they can hit their date of end of March completion for some of the areas.

Eg. if you wish to have your grey wall box mounted in a different location or you are not satisfied with the way which they reinstate your property after laying the cables.

You can send your e-mail to buildct@vumatel.co.za, keep in mind however that re-instatement takes 2 - 3 weeks. They repair it roughly first, then another team comes and fixes it.

They also mentioned at the town hall meeting late last year that they would have teams doing the door-to-door thing to market and field any questions. Haven't seen on my side yet, but I'm just about as far as is possible from the hub, so I don't really expect to see anyone for a few more weeks.

Got our install plans from CoreLine. Now just waiting for their team to start working in our area and install the boxes. Seems that their goal date of end March will be met at this rate.

PROTEA HOOGTE EAST: KICKING OFF NEXT WEEK

According to the map, area 1 west is in fibre work stage.

Yeah, my area show Fibre work in progress, but my fibre has been underground for more than a week and my driveway is all fixed up. I emailed them and the response was that it would go live at the end of March. I'm sure it will be sooner.
