Jacob Zuma will approach the High Court today and lodge an appeal. This will place the order on hold and cannot be executed. The appeal will only be heard early in 2022.

We all know the story, how it goes. Zuma will play the courts with their own games until the day he dies.

In all honesty, given what happened in July I think the minutes silence will need to be held for the potential looters, they will find a very different reality if they try that shyte again.

You are wrong. The laws and constitution has not changed since. People still have the right to riot and protest. Police still can't or won't act. The ANC still does not want the blood of their own people on their hands. They still do not want the world to think they are a second Zimbabwe. Say good bye to your businesses again. Prepare to protect your own property this time again.

Who said anything happening within the "laws and constitution"? The ANC will be out of this equation if the shyte starts again... they won't have control of the response.

People fear that sending Zuma back to prison may cause second wave of unrest

With news that the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria has ruled that former president Jacob Zuma should return to jail, people in KwaZulu-Natal are already expressing fears that there may be a backlash.
The ANC would probably prefer a political solution, which would be a very bad idea toward the rule of law. It would mean the mob can get its way anytime they don't like an outcome. The ANC are very much culpable in the formation and motivation of that mob.

No need for the police or ANC to 'act'. This time suburbanites will start shooting at the slightest sniff of a looter. It won't be allowed to escalate as far as last time.

Somehow, I doubt this will happen.

Depends on what you mean by escalate. We'll probably see a lot more dead people this time around, but I guess if that means people protect their livelihoods it is what it is...

I see, yes, unclear. I mean the riots and looting won't be allowed to escalate as far. I think the defenders will escalate to deadly force immediately.

There's no right to riot in the constitution. There won't be any widespread looting

Awesome, great stuff! I hope he learns from this and stops trying to **** around with the justice system.

Btw all this time he stayed out of jail unlawfully, will it be added back to this sentence or...?

Oh fsck...

July all over again now.
I don't think the looters will have it as easy this time.

If Ramaphosa doesn't immediately intervene with the Army (which would mean he didn't learn from last time), then the general citizenry will strip their moer for the looters and **** will go down.
