This definitely seems like a procedural play to me...

Not entirely sure (unless there are other suspects about to be charged) that a terrorism charge actually sticks with a single "homeless" person.

so what now, they parade some Homeless vagrant before the Media,
look at the ANC how cleva we are, we arrested some poor schmuck.

meanwhile the real criminals sitting in a Jacuzzi in Dubai with Tony Gupta eating Bunny Chow and Samosas.
how do people even believe this sh*t?

I mean 30% is one thing, but this whole narrative is one hell of a stretch.
Don't make me haul out that IQ chart again..

I'm just surprised they haven't given him medical parole yet! Vavi! Amanda!

It was established by his own legal council that he has a home address in Khayelitsha, Site B. Fixed address, mind you, and that he has been a Western Cape resident since six years ago. His neighbours also provided testament to that. What was argued is that he is poor and a social loner.

I see the Goolum social character who exposes dirt and or creates controversy on the occasion, whether true or misaligned, has pinned this Tweet,

OT, I see he also Tweeted, yesterday, Sisulu hanging with two RET characters. Not going to discuss it here, but I think Sisulu might be a 'RET' presidential candidate.

What is intriguing is how most media is portraying the suspect, this is how he looked when he initially appeared in court getting his particulars established on record,

t97r3u3phyz3kth82cru

he was made more representable today with his bail application,

As I have observed, most media and social pundits still uses the older material to report, or promote, today's proceedings.

Maybe he's responsible for the June riots in KZN as well
why not, maybe even the ANC poor showing in the elections as well,
and Patient Zero of Covid while were at it.

these ANC are all about misdirection and lies,
that amazingly people actually fall for, that's the most bizarre of them all.

I am still a bit puzzled by the terrorism charge. In the instance that parliamentary mitigation and security implementations, the preventative measures, worked as expected, the damage would have been minimised or avoided, but a terrorism charge is indicative that this terror act would have been carried out irrespectively. It all came down to the appropriate opportunity, the right time, a means to an end, and all that. All in all, the result is not due to incompetence, mismanagement, negligence or otherwise, but due to a planned terrorist act. Just an observational view I have.

Not to mention, this event is very much open to 'political' theories, considering things like sabotage, insurrection, etc. The slow progress being made concerning the July riots doesn't inspire me, it instils more doubt than trust.

The quicker we get to the trials, the better. 2022 is a very competitive ANC year with two electives coming up. Ramaphosa has to glue his house together, to promote his popularity, but at what cost?

In my view, the political landscape is becoming ever more turbulent which doesn't bode coalitions, which we need to better social cohesion, any good either. I think the state, by the masses, is losing the public trust, hence there is public doubt in this case.

Anyhow.

what amazes me @Fulcrum29 , is how similar this entire episode sounds to the Reichstag fire back before WW2
also similar circumstances, also a "scapegoat" caught very quickly and executed.

wait, we will find out he's a member of the DA or the EFF, and was told by Johnny boy or Mal-maniac set fire to Parliament.
because, JZ and Tony Gupta were about to get married and he was Going to have their baby or something equally Bizarre like that.

I mean Hansie relied on stranger things during his court case, so will not surprise me something weird will come out of all this.

You would moan if this happened and no one was arrested, you are also moaning that this guy was arrested too quickly and you are saying he is a "scapegoat", I will never understand how some people think.
