BritBox streaming service in South Africa — Price and launch date revealed

BBC Studios and iTV will launch the BritBox video streaming service in South Africa on Friday 6 August, offering a wide selection of British movies and TV shows for R99 per month.

Speaking during a virtual launch on Tuesday evening, BritBox International CEO Reemah Sakaan said South Africa was chosen as the next launch region because there was a massive following for British content in the country.
 
Another streaming service to look at, so let's see with Netflix at R169, Prime at R79, Showmx at R99 and this at R99 halfway there to DSTV, if Disney + launches it'll be R115 that'll be 561 a month. So anything else? Guess I could pause those I'm not watching
 
I hope BritBox has improved since I checked out the US version around 2 years ago, or that our local version is superior to the US version, but the content selection was really poor compared to iPlayer.

Very fond of UK TV series, have watched them all thus far but via different 'channels'...so thanks, but no thanks...
