So im not sure if i took all the fibre installation horror stories i had heard for granted before i embarked on my journey through hell in order to install fibre, but oh boy i should've.
So the story starts with my back and front hassling and multiple account application and deletion with both fibrehoods and vumatel and various ISP providers, most notably in this debacle, Afrihost.
Essentially, all ISP's had the incorrect fibre line provider (fibrehoods) listed on their sites and thus after multiple ISP applications for fibre, afterdelays, none could install the fibre since the incorrect fibre provider was listed. Once the service provider was identified as fibrehoods, it was a painfill mission to get Afrihost to realise this and register my data package. Since their site was wrong, i could not apply online, but needed a manual application for fibre. Oh Lord, was this the hardest task that Afrihost staff ahve ever encountered. Rcoket science degree was required it seems. Thanks for **** service Afrihost. Specific mention must go out to Baden at Afrihost, honest to God the last person on Earth you would ever want to dela with from a support service point of view. My dog could assist me more than that guy. Refused to call me to assist, instead he would email reply once in a while to vomit out useless information.
Anyway, the journey had only reached its half way spot. Then came to dealing with Fibrehoods installation service providers Britelink. To this date, four visits later, including on average being 2 hours late each time regardless of me complaining, resulting in me still not having an active line, because after finally coming to install, they somehow did not test the line before they left, which naturally meant that it was down and needed re-installation.
AT this point, i would gladly accept a gun and a coffin instead of having to continue to deal with Britelink (remember the name), however for my many sins in life, i will continue to be punished by the Lord by forcing me to continue to deal with these guys until 2040 when my fibre might be up and running.
Thanks Afrihost, Fibrehoods and Britelink for being ****.
