Some of the worst reviews I've seen ....

I saw it mentioned on here, and even typing this now I still haven't looked at an IMDb reviews, score or anything.

But I will say it was excellent. Just finished the last episode 10 minutes ago and I would heartily recommend it to anyone who likes British police dramas.

Now I'll go and look at IMDb :p

^ which series are we talking about here ?

Sorry, I'm talking about Bancroft.

And checking out the reviews on IMDb, it seems a lot of people were annoyed at the end of the first season because it is a real cliff hanger. Now having both seaons available it never affected me so I never thought of it like that.

But there are a lot of other reviews giving 8, 9 and 10/10. I loved it. But gritty British police dramas are my thing. I'd love to know what anyone else thinks so get watching dudes.

Had a thing for Sarah Parish since Blackpool so I can't lose.

The bad reviews were about terrible writing mostly....but anyway.

To each his own of course.;)

Of course. But to me this is a high quality drama to be mentioned in the same breath as Line of Duty and Happy Valley. Especially the second season.

Give it a go and tell me I’m wrong. I reckon we’ve got similar tastes.

The Stranger

On Netflix.
OK this is weird but she is not even listed in cast on IMDB but Jennifer Saunders is also in. Siobhan Finneran is great as usual. Episode 1 has me hooked. 4K is a bonus.

Will do. I thought Happy Valley was brilliant.

For me Bancroft is a size-able step down from HV. If you go into expecting something on the same level, you going to be disappointed.

Not to say it isn’t good and highly entertaining, cause it is. And Bancroft is a vile character that will really get under your skin... Parish absolutely nails the part.
