The Stranger

On Netflix.
This show.... Episode 5. Most gripping thing I've watched in ages lol. Talk about a twisty plot.

Oh my heck. This is possibly the best thing I've watched this year so far. The twists just keep coming one after the other! . Starts episode 5.
Hahaha. Looks like we're synced now. I've just binged 3 back to back. I seriously hope the finale is worthy. Freaking brilliant storytelling and acting.

For me Bancroft is a size-able step down from HV. If you go into expecting something on the same level, you going to be disappointed.

Not to say it isn’t good and highly entertaining, cause it is. And Bancroft is a vile character that will really get under your skin... Parish absolutely nails the part.

Oh I dunno. I think I’d have it below Line of Duty but above HV. It just had that extra angle which made it more absorbing.

The Stranger was great. 8 / 10 from me as it kept me glued. Excellent cast. Managed to guess the ending though

Also finished Deadwater Fell. Was OK. Nothing special. 6 / 10.

I also watched Dracula 7/10 (reasons in spoiler tag)

Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss have done their best to spoil Dracula in the same way they did Sherlock. They take really great straight forward rip roaring stories and then proceed to get bogged down at the end by trying to be too clever and tie things up. The first two episodes were brilliant, second one especially. And at the end of the rather brilliant ep 2 I though woohoo, we are in for a treat in ep3. I should have known they'd take their foot off the gas and go left field getting bogged down in explanations and dialogue. So episodes one and two keep the score high, but what a let down of a final episode.

Yeah I'm not sure what to rate it. At times it was really good but now and again it felt like a comedy.

The nuns voice / accent put me off for some reason

Binged "The Stranger" this weekend. Absolutely fantastic, more twists than a French road.

Started "Safe" (Same author) - also good, but HIGHLY recommend NOT watching it shortly after The Stranger - give yourself a couple weeks before you jump on it.

The North Water

"Colin Farrell plays Henry Drax in the drama, a harpooner and brutish killer whose amorality has been shaped to fit the harshness of his world, who will set sail on a whaling expedition to the Arctic with Patrick Sumner, a disgraced ex-army surgeon who signs up as the ship’s doctor. Hoping to escape the horrors of his past, Sumner finds himself on an ill-fated journey with a murderous psychopath. In search of redemption, his story becomes a harsh struggle for survival in the Arctic wasteland.

Hmmm ... The Pale Horse

In 1961, widowed antique dealer Mark Easterbrook (Rufus Sewell) is caught up in a mystery: why is he on a list of names found in a dead woman’s shoe? His investigation brings him to the eerie village of Much Deeping, where things only get more twisted.

Seems it starts Sunday.
