For those who enjoyed all Creatures Great and Small , there is a Xmas special episode out.

Grabbed it. We loved this as a family and have agreed to keep it until Christmas evening to watch when we are all chilled.

One of those rare occasions where I bailed on a series I looked forward to.

Not sure why but it just didn't hook me and I couldn't relate to the main players.

I loved it, but then I remember the originals from the 70s when I was a kid so perhaps there was a certain amount of nostalgia involved. Wife and son loved it as well mind you and it was new to them. Just good family viewing I guess.

When we've OD'ed on some gory stuff like Luther or somesuch, old episodes of the original "All Creatures" reminds you that the world isn't all blood and guts and violence.

Though some of those "up the cow's *****" shots with the bare hands...:eek:
