Wonder if the day will ever come when the SA government will allow its citizens to empower themselves like this:

Several communities in Britain's rural north decided they have waited long enough for the government and the telcos to roll out high-speed Internet access for them, and are now laying the fibre themselves.

Everyone is literally pitching in to help lay the primary cable of 51km which will supply Gigabit Internet speeds for £30/month and a £150 connection fee to the residents.

This will never happen

People in rural area's probably dont know what fibre cables are, and they would probably get stolen the moment its put in.
 
Just remember, "Rural North.UK != Rural North.SA"

Our "communities" still put Castrol cans and bricks below their bedposts to guard them from the Tokolosh
