Has anyone noticed how much slower browsing has become over the last 2 weeks?

It's beginning to approach dial-up speeds (even thou i get bandwidth for downloads between 10-20KB)

V@rk these bastards!

Not only that but as of 09:00 on 17/08/2004 on the Mintek tower ping times and packet loss has gone for a ball of s*ite ... don't know if other towers are the same ... at the moment I truly hope it is a case of getting worse before it gets better ... not that it could get much worse.

It is a ridiculous situation when you can download stuff at 200kbps using a download manager but browsing webpages is at the same speed it was ten years ago on a 14.4 modem. Browsing is definitely slow - especially the delay time before a web page starts loading.

How does one become an iburst tester, btw??

Bah, my problem with ADSL is the port shaping which really screws up MMORPGs for me.

Guess I am going to have to stick with ISDN from now on.

GougedEye - is ADSL not suitable for MMORPGs? People said the same about MyWireless, and I was playing without a problem 'till about two weeks ago... what kind of pings do you get on ADSL?

I was thinking of popping over to a friend of mine's and checking it there, he has ADSL...

Speed is so slow that it takes 12 minutes to open internet banking, and 15 minutes to open a page on WebCT (RAU's edulink thing on the net). I want to ****ing kill someone at sentech.

Just hope and pray that iBurst learns from this Senf*** fiasco. I never want to work on a 56k modem again. But this is worse it's fu***ing Ridiculous. Do you think that they are actually prioritizing this problem, or have they given up. Go to work at 9 and leave at 4 and if they achieved something it's a bonus? Because I don't see anything, only read a lot of promises.

Sentech a perfect example of: “When great ideas go terrible wrong!”
