Weird thing is, i stress tested my psu and cpu and gpu for a hour each, no issues! with OCCT
It doesn't matter IMHO.
If you have a defective component it will lead to a BSOD.

A PSU is the most overlooked and most obvious component in a PC that leads to BSOD. That's one of the first things any Techie learns.

You need to decide the best way forward.

I do get that a power supply is one you should never leave out.

Wife's system has a 650w corsair bronze certified. I know these 3080's want a 650-750w power supply unit. Maybe i should give that a try and see what happens.

Oky so no errors or critical errors on event viewer since i disabled boost on the cpu, running at 3.8ghz on all cores. Ram is at 2133mhz, nerfing this system, still, i'm getting 132 avg fps in warzone on everything maxed out and 1440p. Not to bad :D

So far so good, if this is the issue, that leads to drivers and bios issues? Sending the cpu back for a new one wouldn't solve the issue ?

BUT! let me first see how it goes over the weekend.

Try the wifes 650w corsair bronze certified, with the cpu oc'ed & gpu both stress tested under full load it should not use more than ~530W. Normal gaming/work should never see such loads though. I can loan you a gt610 and you can then test your cpu under max loads seeing as the 610 will give your psu some headroom but this still might not negate psu instability.

I haven't seen a bsod yet. After nerfing my cpu to base clock only, no boost.

If i do get one, psu is the next hardware test. I agree 750w is more for that extra headroom. 650w would still be perfect for this setup. Once tested I'll give you a shout. Appreciate the offer

Hmmm
Oky so pbo was enabled, not auto, with cpu volts set to 1.29V , cpu runs cooler and temps are more stable. No bsod for some time

Auto cpu volts, 10-15min later bsod. Peak volts were 1.48V, temps just jump from 39 Celsius to 60 in a second.

Setting it lower temps are have a smaller jump in the high 40's then move to 57 Celsius
I'll be keeping this set to 1.29V and see how things go.

Been running 4 tabs of YouTube
Warzone in it's loading screen and all applications i could get running in task bar.

Temps are 39(idle) in a room thats 26 at this moment.

Definitely seeing better temps and less spikes

Edit, no bsod yet
