BTgames in Westgate already closed down.
They have gone down the tubes if you ask me.
OMW that is crazy funny dude.
What does it have to do with linux, man o man that has to be the funniest thing i have heard this year from a linux oke![]()
hmmm how does a VBScript error attribute to MS?
BTGames' site has always been pretty buggy i must say. Even their rental service where you add games to your wishlist...that wishlist can only handle 10 items ..if you hit the 10 items it breaks AND lose everything in it AND gives you a nice little vbscript error.
Luckily i don't do any financial transactions on there, at best i'll reserve and go to the shop, i'll probably billed twice or something if i buy online [assuming there's no error].
lol... Acid, you're just giving cheapshots now, MCSE has nothing to do with coding / programming. It's a technical certification.http://www.btgames.co.za/btgames/gamer/3371/gamer.asp
Back Issues has quite a lot of blanks in them leading to HTTP 404 Errors.
Seriously. Did you guys hire a 14 year old kid who did his MSCE for this?
Possibly everything stems from the fact they probably don't use a database? The VBScript error I got was something to do with a file error if i'm not mistaken.
If you have time please post the VBScript error here. I want to phone the CEO later today to discuss the possibility of him hiring real developers for this project to save face with the public
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0005'
Invalid procedure call or argument: 'right'
/gu/gwishlist.asp, line 130
Well you can simulate it yourself easily, just go here and add 10+ items to your wish list : http://www.btgames.co.za/gu/home.asp and refresh a few times . You don't even need to register to do it.
That said, they DO warn you not to add more than 10 items [so they know their little widget is dysfuntional], BUT they are unable to warn you while you're adding...so if you're browsing and adding the stuff to maybe filter them later you're in for a surprise.
Here's the error i managed to simulate again:

Can a non-nerd please explain in layman terms why BTgames is 'losing millions in revenue per minute' ?![]()
