Hi all from Mybroadband!

It a great pleasure to introduce you to our Indiegogo campaign we've recently launched.

It's called Building SalesX - Check it out!

Below I'm giving you a summary of what we aim to do, but also note that we're running an awareness campaign exclusively on Facebook. If you "Like" our 26:28 page, you'll stand in line to win an iPod Nano . 26:28 is an App development company and we're focusing on Apple products, thus we want to connect to the theme with the iPod Nano.

We're sticking out our head and building this. No-one ever succeeded by doing nothing!

Having said all that, here's what SalesX is all about:

SalesX:

We're building a CRM application. What is CRM? Customer Relationship Management. In short, the App will allow you to manage your Business' customers, products and sales. But not in the traditional, boring way that most CRM apps do. SalesX will use gaming elements to help you do your sales work. We're going to use avatars as a way to create a virtual identity. You'll get points as you use the different parts of the App. With highscores, you'll be rewarded (including items for your avatar, mentions on your business' scoreboard), limited rewards etc.

Why are we doing this? Firstly to make Business fun! There's a common quote "If you are in Business, you are in Sales". Secondly, to make CRM affordable. How many SME's (Small and Medium sized enterprises) can take out millions to pay for CRM applications? Much less even for linked, mobile applications. As our background is in Africa, we want to build tools that will build communities and that's what SalesX is for.

What's in it for you? We've listed a few Perks for supporting our project on Indiegogo. But I want to specifically highlight one here. For small business owners, how much will it cost you to get SalesX once completed? The value of the App, customized to your business will be around R100,000 (plus user licencing). As a perk, if you support $1000 or more, we customize the App to your business and throw in 10 free licences. That's a massive saving!

SalesX is not just an App on the App Store, we'll be physically working with SME's to implement in their businesses.

In the next few weeks we'll be releasing more and more details about SalesX (Including surprise perks!) Please get in contact, we'd love to here from you!

Hi Dawi.

My first impression (and to be fair to you I haven't thoroughly scrutinised your offering) is that I don't see a value proposition that would persuade an SME to part with the sort of money that you are talking about. I think there are more tangible ways to motivate sales teams with R100k plus than avatars and crowns.

That said I wish you every success with your venture.

Thanks for the comments InvisibleJim. We probably should add a bit more info about the full-function version, vs. the free / low cost version. Don't want to let too many rabbits out of the hat just yet, but will add a bit around the value add.

Hi DawieBotes,

I think once we have the full picture, we would be in a better position to provide positive / negative / accurate feedback. Until then, all we have is a concept.

However, wishing you and your team success.
