Does anyone know when they are bumping up the speeds?

Will it be

[384k > 512k], [512k > 1024k] and [1024k > 4096k] :(

OR

[384k > 1024k], [512k > 2048k] and [1024k > 4096k] :)

Have they given any indication that they're even considering it?

I'm guessing the first option, who knows when it'll actually be done though.

It's inevitable.
So is competition in the market, lower prices, higher caps etc - qn is are you going to hold your breath waiting for it?

Telkom probably only got rid of 192 because they couldnt market it as broadband any longer.

Why do you say option 1?

option 1: [384k > 512k], [512k > 1024k] and [1024k > 4096k]

OR

option 2: [384k > 1024k], [512k > 2048k] and [1024k > 4096k]

Yes, option one is what I was told when i spoke to them

At the moment there is no provision for 2Mbit lines. I don't think Telkom could work it all out. :p

So, option one stands.

Oh well, guess it's the cap that makes the difference.

Theres an article on fin24 heading "Telkom halts drastic price cuts". If you read it, it gives me an indication that maybe we are gonna wait longer that we are hoping for for price cuts and line speed upgrades... what you guys think?

remember its telkom your arrows are in the wrong direction

[128k <- 384k], [384k <- 512k], [512k <- 1024k] and [1024k <- 4096k]

;)

maybe june who knows if neo gets on with it

Yeah, was just about to link to the same thing...

It is not what the consumer wants, but it is better than nothing.
