Teklom's - "operating profit climbed 21 percent to R11,2-billion".

LOL 21% increase in profit - YET ::

"Consumers making local calls will still be paying about 0,5 percent more than they did last year, while those making international calls will experience no change in charges"

Now why is that allowed ?
Isn't 21% increase justified enough ?
Do they still need to rape the poor comsumer another 0.5 percent ?

So much for governmint control - lol - what utter carp.
Neio - we should stop paying taxes cos they are not providing the services that we want, like being able to control their teklom monster.

AND - "Telkom already faces competition from the cellular companies MTN and Cell C".
WTF - Cellular network operators shouldn't even be in the same pricing sphere as land line operators. It's only because teklom is so damn expensive that it's products are priced up there in the relam of cellular network prices. Ridiculous.

I think it would be a good idea to force telkom not to have a profit more than 2% the inflation rate. That way they're still profitable AND keep above inflation making investors think twice of "riding the quick rich scheme" that is Telkom. Make it a more solid investing ground... something like De Beers

SA Gov uses their profit from Telskum to pay Mugabe's planes and stuff.
I hope they all go bankrupt some day.
I wonder how many pissed off people will apply for SNo lines as soon as the guys start operating, I know that I'll be one of them and I dont mind spending R1000 a month for service from them.
