Looking for a clean butchery with fresh meat in the Milnerton area.

We normally just buy stuff from supermarkets because the butchery we normally mission off to in the northern subs is closed on a Sunday.

The SO and I have the day to ourselves and would like to hit up a nice butchery today to get decent food for the rest of the month.

Any recommendations?

The butchery inside royal ascot spar is also very good.

Yeah, I live in Royal Ascot and go to the SPAR as little as possible. Their staff are generally useless and I fond myself getting frustrated because it feels like they never have enough tills open.

I just really miss the butcheries we have in Durban, actually that's probably all I miss about the 25 years I spent living there.

I will try Joey's in Bellville next weekend.

So far, the Pick 'n Pay butchery at the waterfront is tops for me.

Joe Y's is great! They don't sell a wide variety of meat what they do sell is the best quality.

It sounds great, tonnes of people recommending it elsewhere.

All I'm after actually is decent extra lean mince, good quality and well priced steak (sirloin, rump or if its pay day maybe some fillet) and some fresh boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Oh ja, and some lekker biltong!

The butchery in T/View I mentioned makes great biltong on the premises. Also ask them for their cabanossi droe wors ... its awesome.!

The will mince whatever meat you want in front of you so you can see no rubbish is in the mince. Joe, the owner is quite a character and it is always a fun experience being served by him.

Give them a try

Allie's Meat Market in Koeberg Rd is pretty good as well & sell eggs for dirt cheap; biltong rather tasty as well.
