Former President Thabo Mbeki could not contain the blood that was rushing through to his head when he listened to that judge who also served under Apartheid, Judge Harms, reading out the SCA judgement against Jacob Zuma and Judge Chris Nicholson. This is clearly reflected in the statement issued on January 13 2008.
Mbeki came out blushing at lady justice, convincing himself that he has been vindicated and then started throwing stones relentlessly at those whom he believes are a cause for his agony after he was recalled (see statement). As the rush of blood became faster, Mbeki felt it opportune to claim more easy victories and in his usual self took the opportunity to take a swipe at "leaders and citizens" who should "critically reflect" at the culture of propagating falsehoods in order to attain various objectives.
Before seeing himself like a kid in a candy shop and therefore excited, then rush to his typewriter and seek to propagate more "falsehoods" and claim more victories, Mbeki should have stopped and pondered as to who the real victim is and who is the real protagonist. Comrade Mbeki, you are responsible for this mess our country finds itself in, please find the decency to contain your easy excitement and keep your fingers off the operation table, we are trying to fix what you broke. That's the Bottomline, cos the YCL said so!
