Over the weekend I discovered Fascinationbooks.co.za. They had a sale on selected books (4 books for R100) so I'm testing them out to see the level of service.

My only dislike is that online stores don't generally have bargain bins where you can often find some real gems for cheap. Sadly no RL book stores anywhere near my location.

I love secondhand books shops, i love bookshops but the best are in PTA and i'm in JHB now. When i know what i want i love shopping online, and kalahari was so good until about six months ago, now i'll rather try CNA:D

I just love reading.... soul food:eek:

I love reading and there's no bigger treat than a new book. I'm even struggling to find any books I haven't already read in my local library (obviously in the genres I enjoy) - guess that's another con of small town life.

It isn't the same edition...
EAN 9781410413567 vs 978-1-904233-64-0
Although the actual content is the same it isn't really fair to compare different editions/publishers/packaging.

This is the same book: http://www.exclusivebooks.com/display.php?PHPSESSID=4sti0ocsfrlq3imd41805h7tr5&ean=9781904233640 Still more expensive... but not so far out.

<edit> Why do you want a hardcover? It's not like it a classic book... the paperback should be less than R150 for a "young adult" title like this.

The business model of online retailers is not to carry inventory. No inventory means no slow moving stock, which means no bargains.

You can't have your cake and eat it...
