If the GTR was the exact same price as the A45 and you can afford that then I say go GTR.

If you need to pay more for the GTR...which is what I sounds like as the A45 is 500k-ish isn't it? Then I would go A45.

,but for a family car the merc will be better

are those the only 2cars your looking at or are you open for othercars?

How is the smaller car better for a family?

Nooooope. Starts at R645k, and it'll never be imported stock, so looking more at R700k-R800k, easy.

It has room for 4 people, just because it's smaller form the outside does not mean it's smaller from the inside.

I suppose the question is, does the OP want a **** hot pocket rocket (0-100km/h in 4.6s claimed) that you can use as a daily driver as well, or do you want a supercar that can cream most other supercars?

Anyone now what this oke did to his A45 apart from the CPi software? (Who here hangs out at the legal drag strips around CPT? )

That S4 has 358.2 kw 573 nm and 0-100 in around 4 seconds, could be faster by now, those figures are from 8 moths ago and he's always busy upgrading

Since the car would be 5 years old by the end of this year would it be a bad buy?
It has 32,000Km on the clock and is neat.
extended service plans are available. Price R849 000
What are you guys opinions. It would be either this car or a Mercedes-Benz A45 4Matic.
Thanks!

If you can afford paying for maintenance, go for GTR. Its a supercar and well above the league of the A45.

Have you had a ride in a GT R yet?

There is no space for any person at the back taller than 1m. Unless you put your front seats all the way to the front. And I mean ALL the way. Then you can squeeze your knees between the console in the middle and the archway by the door past the front seat. It's extremely small at the back. I can't carry 4 mid sized people simple as that.

5-year old supercar killer, or a hatchback with a service plan? I'd go with the GT-R any day of the week - it's still my favourite/dream car. If you can afford one, you should be able to afford to maintain it, too.

This. The GTR is a 911 killer but to pay 850k for a Nissan is insane.

Go for neither and rather choose an M3.

You mad bro?

People pay R 500k for a Golf... R 850k for a GT R is NOTHING. A supercar sub R 1m - bargain.

GTR for me.

In the near future the A45 will be one of those cars that we hardly see on the roads as most people realize that there are better cars to buy in that price range.

They arent event remotely similar cars.
The A45 just doesnt make any sense at its price but then the GT-R will cost you crazy amounts of money to maintain.

Thanks!

Haha, Thanks guys for advising me and having some arguments of youll's own. I pick the A45 since it would be brand new and i could wait for a 2016 model. It would be better because it will be better to maintain since it has a service plan and i would also be taking friends around maybe family too, so i would need those back seats. The GT-R would be me paying alot for a 5 year old car and it would lose value over the years as i need to use a car as a daily driver.
Thanks Again Guys!!

Why don't you look at something like a used M3, C63 and so on?

In your situation the choice you made is a good one.
I love the GT-R but with my wife and kids it will just not be practical. I'll also take the A45 purely because of that. But God help me when I'm older and my kids are out of the house :D
