Well, you are making a statement that you cannot back up with any sort of evidence, not so? I thought my car was relatively bland in terms of looks, but I have had experiences that go beyond "turning heads".

That statement was made in lieu of the badge snobbery. He seems to think that an M3 is exclusive due to it being a BMW, but the GTR is "still just a Nissan". If you're looking for facts on that front, BMW's sales numbers speak for themselves...

Well, that I agree with. I have come from purchasing and driving Opel's for 15 years or more. So, I think I can say I am not merely into "badges".

You can't just say a 911 killer - quite a few 911 models. The model it is often compared to - 911 Turbo S - is pretty much ahead of it in every video I've seen, stock for stock. I've never seen a GTR ahead of it ...

Here's the latest versions of each with the Porsche ahead, again

Though to be fair the A45 should also easily cream a Supercharged GT86.

Those supercharged BRZ take them to slightly quicker than a Golf 7 GTI - a little disappointing! An A250 AMG would give it a run ;)

if you are indecisive between buying a A45 or GTR because of a motorplan you shouldn't be buying either car.

I don't see any issue with knowing the costs of repairs?

Got absolutely nothing to do with affordability.

Apologies.

So why would he not buy the car if motorplan is a consideration?

I absolutely love both cars but I do feel; in Cape Town at least; the A45 is getting too "common" for the crazy-money price.

Just the other day at a local Muslim-owned Spar in the S.Burbs I saw a middle age Muslim aunty pull out with a neat Edition 1 A45. Trying not to judge but I feel if I had to ask her what she is driving she probably would not know what power & sophistication she has at her disposal. For her needs the A180 with AMG packs & LED's would most likely fit her needs.

it could have been someone else's car, like the son or her husband's.

so you try not to judge but you do it anyway with very little information at hand, well done there

The southern suburbs is infested with Muslims in hot-hatches.
