Buying a Home whilst in Debit Review

Hi Guys.

Apologies if this is in the wrong thread. Mod can move it.

My wife took upon it herself to be placed under Debit Review. All seems fine with the company and she is very positive that her debit will be cleared.

Here is my question and some background info.

If we sell our home and use the deposit to buy a cheaper one. Will the Home loan company approve it?

The monthly payment towards the home loan are being deducted from my pay slip. The goal here is to try and sell my home and have
+- R600k deposit and buy a home listed at R900k. Meaning that my outstanding home loan amount will go down to R300k. If my calculations are correct. I will pay R2000 less on my home loan and have a little breathing space in case the Debit Review go out of wack.

If this can be done, how do we motivate, encourage the home loan company to assist us?

Thank you all.
