I'd try Germany. They use the schuko plug, but I'm pretty certain their cells will ship with europlugs (which fit into schuko sockets - the roundish ones you see on some power strips in ZA).

My bad, I thought you were referring to the new "ZA plug"
The new ZA one is compatible with the europlug. Or more accurately you can plug europlug devices in ZA sockets. And since ZA isn't exactly a major exporter of electronics the fact that the reverse is incompatible is a non-issue.

The 10 is the .001%

I see it can't use the Type-C cable along with the LG G5. Why, when they bring out new standards, they can't make them backwards compatible. This means that you can't use someone else's charger in an pinch, unless you charge the phone while its in the freezer. You have to carry your own charger around with you.

Thanks for the advice guys. I pulled the trigger on this this morning - decided to get the phone locally from Orange, but ordered the Ice View case and a screen protector from an online store to be delivered to friends in the EU.

As a side note, I was quite surprised at the price difference between buying from UK and EU. UK was significantly cheaper!

When buying from geekbuying, do I take EMS or free shipping? Is the free shipping at least reliable?

Blocking wireless devices and forcing you to pay R4000 to get them certified.

Had a few people posting whose media players have been blocked.

Also you can't "express" ship phones, batteries aren't allowed on passenger flights anymore.
