BYD launching electric bakkie for global market this year

Chinese electric vehicle juggernaut BYD Co. plans to launch its first electrified pickup truck for the global market later this year, throwing down the gauntlet to Toyota Motor Corp.’s popular Hilux, Ford Motor Co.’s Ranger and Isuzu Motors Ltd.’s D-Max.

Photos released by BYD show a boxy dual-cab truck daubed in orange and blue camouflage paint being road-tested in an unspecified location.

How is that towing range going to be pulling a trailer with a load? How long will that battery pack last until it packs up?

BRING it on!

All ev's are WELCOME!

It's time for rehab for our fuel (petrol/ diesel) addiction.
until the Batteries wear out, and it costs MORE than the vehicle is worth to change,
even if its only a few dead cells causing problems.

then there is Hot/Cold temperatures that cause the range to vanish, not to mention being involved in any accidents,
if they catch fire, and you dont have sand to smother the fire with,

lots of things still need to be fixed up for EV's

Any & all updates will go in the official BYD Thread.
