I would hardly say that being sued by a bunch of residents is their fault ... it wasn't just them who chose the site

I also think the DA is making a royal mess of this. Yes it's not their fault that the residents are suing but they are not handling it well. How can they run a country when they can't even run a city?

If CT lose the semi-final that would be a huge blow for tourism and income in the city.... They need to get a handle on what is going on and sort it out one way or another quickly. The other stadiums are starting to get built and still CT is talking.

IMO the DA is going to get more and more embroiled in their own political struggle for leadership of the party, and as this happens governing CT is going to take a back seat. I think it will be a case of less work and more power play. How can you expect them to focus with the thought of imminent control of the DA looming before them ?

Please. NOW they are trying to sort this out. "They" have had YEARS. OBVIOUSLY the incompetent, non-existent, corrupt entity running CT BEFORE that has lead to this problem for Zille. Now sorting out the ANC's mess as in all other areas.

Cape Town is run by the DA only in part. The Western Cape is still ruled by the ANC. In any case, the DA inherited problems that the ANC failed to remedy.
