Call of Duty LAN over ADSL

tell me if I'm missing the pot here.

a mate and i want to play some CoD against each other from home, we both have 384 ADSL, and NOIP client running. if he sets up the server on his side, i should be able to join it from here, providing we set up our netgears to forward the correct(which?) ports?

please advise...

A far easier way would be to install Hamachi on both ends to create a virtual network. No need for port forwarding, NOIP, etc...
