So this is just another TrueCaller...

Might give it a bash purely because TrueCaller is pissing on my battery lately by its bloat.

CallApp is okay... I am an early adopter and have been a long-time user. I simply didn't like that TrueCaller required access to my Google account. CallApp also has ads, but at least they have the one-time purchase option, and they have dialler theming, which I don't like.

What I can say about CallApp is that the caller ID is super quick, which is why I have stayed with the product.

I also use it alongside Drupe, which mainly serves as my phone directory, but CallApp is the superior dialler.

For those who use Samsung Smart Call, which is powered by Hiya, you don't need these caller ID apps though Smart Call is a limited Hiya version, but it is more than doable to block 'unwanted' calls.

I would up vote CallApp.

I haven't used it because at the time it launched it was only available to limited devices. It has nice integration. Phone by Google integrated directly with Google My Business, so it is as up-to-date as Google is. I don't know whether they use a third party to enable their caller ID because caller ID is a sensitive issue in regard to collecting data, and handling this data, hence these companies, like Samsung, rather opt-in to an external database.

Well, it came preinstalled with my Xiaomi device, and they now also have call recording, but when you start recording a call, it will play a message to the other person telling them the call is about to be recorded. Think it is for legal reasons. Just mentioning it because I have seen a lot of peeps on mybb wanting call recording.
