Looks like a logo for a horror video game franchise.

Caltex definitely has an image problem so probably good for them to rebrand.

Who cares about a figure of speech. I don't think the Glencore subsidiary is legally allowed to continue using the Caltex name under the deal.

It is very much this.

The company (Astron) have to change the branding on the stations, they have no choice really...
I personally don't like the new name chosen, but the colour scheme they seem to be going for is relatively smart as it is not a huge change from the existing Caltex colour scheme and thus many people won't actually even notice the change in name as they just will see the colour scheme and associate it with the "Caltex" of old.
