I have been wondering about CAMI educational software which is selling for thousands of rands. Can anybody tell me if the software is any good? I am certainly not fooled by the fact that most shcools are using and reccomending it - for them it is just another source of income.

The sales tactics of the reps seems to be highly questionable. I hear that they really pressure clients into buying the (very expensive) software. In Australia this has led to several consumer complaints. It is alleged that they lure parents into signing binding contracts to pay off the software with high interest rates... Can anyone confirm this.

Well, I used it in st9 /10 for my maths. Its very good, and my younger sisters used it as well. But this was more than 8 years ago.

It's okay but I don't think it was worth the price (and I won a copy as a promotional thing when I was in Grade 8). Rather spend the money on extra maths tuition or a maths tutor. The software was okay but it gives you too many clues to the answers (which you won't be getting in an exam situation) and it's so boring to use most of the time I just didn't bother . If you do decide to get it make sure it's compatible with the SA curriculum.
