A group of us (5-6 people) are interested in doing a hiking/camping trip around the Drakensberg. The proposed dates for this are around the Easter weekend (10th April to 14/15th April).

We are trying to keep the costs of this trip down as much as possible (most of the people going are still students). Any ideas of a good route with camping spots and stuff? And none of us are really avid hikers (we really just feel like doing something different) so the hiking should not be too hectic (10-12 km per day tops).

If anyone has done something like this please post.

Thanks in advance.

Sounds like fun, I love camping...all my friends are city-slickers though. :(

That Monks Cowl place looks cool, might just steal your idea and take my SO with me...

Monks Cowl hiking is great ... just remember the camping facilities are "rustic" at best ,so prepare to rough it a bit.
If you can get into the Injasuti camp in the Giant's Castle area, you won't be dissapointed. Lots of day hikes from a central base camp

The whole area is pretty popular over the easter weekend so best you guys book now (if you can still get in)
