Can a vodafone 785 be used with 8ta?

I have a vodafone 785, and want to work with 8ta using this phone. I can create a new APN, but when I save it, it won't save the new APN. It seems like the phone is network locked. Any suggestions?

Re:OP. Can you use Telkom prepaid card and make calls?
I don't know Android, but OTA settings or OEM customised might be protected from changing. However you should be be able to create a new APN instead of modifying the existing one. I saw somewhere for Android 4.0, 4.1 & 4.2:

Go to Settings.
Choose More Settings.
Choose Mobile networks.
Choose Access Point Names.
Press the Menu button on your phone and choose New APN.
