Can I just phone to get my wife's tax number?

My wife always earned below the tax bracket on her previous job, so she never paid PAYE or received an IRP5.

At her new job she does pay tax on her salary.

The accountant is now asking for her tax number, can she phone SARS and get this? I do not have have 4 hours to waste to stand in a line.

I was just given a tax number when i started paying tax, never had to request it.

She should have still received an IT3 from her previous employer.

She can call SARS to get her tax number.
