Can not ping adsl ip address of Centos server

I have a client who has an mweb adsl account . he is using a dynamic adsl ip address that changes once a month. When i am on site all the work stations and server have inetrnet access . but when i try to access the server using ssh from out side the network i can not and when i ping the ADSL ip address it times out . can any of you guys give me any pointers on how i can trouble shoot this issue

I take it your setup is:
INTERNET -> Router -> server -> LAN

Have you checked the obvious first? On the router what is the firewall settings, is it allowing connections from outside the LAN, is port forwarding (default for ssh is 22) enabled on the router for the server, etc?

Yo,
on Netgear's like so
On the router, checkbox Respond to Ping on Internet WAN Port..
Enable or disable DMZ server, depends whats doing the forwarding.
