I want to use green and red in the same ip range as the rest of the computers in my network.
Can this be done?

basically I would like to change the default gateway for all computers on the network to the smoothwall ip range as well.

If not, any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

It should work.

downside is that anyone who knows a thing or two, can bypass the smoothwall by setting a static IP.

By design, no, it won't work. WAN and LAN are always on two different networks. You can "jippo" it, but it's not true networking.

I've heard people having some success with Green & Red on the same network card after much tweaking but not on the same IP range. Have never tried it myself but suspect that everything on the same IP will confuse the crap out of the routing and change the network into a notwork.
