Is it true or is it one of those jokes that women can’t read maps.

You know the one “women can’t read maps and men can’t find things in the fridge”

I was showing my wife directions on a map and there was this blank stare on her face and then “well I’ll ask someone one at work” reply. Think she was going to ask another woman.

So is this true or not?

Not naturally.

But with some training they seem to do fine. I know a few female pilots who are pretty good at reading maps.

Thats why GPS was invented. Its just a pity females don't listen to instructions.

Women want simple physical things, like a male sex organ. Men want complex physical things, like, well, a female one.
Go figure.

But, when you're talking emotional, things swap around.

Read Why men don't listen and women can't read maps, and follow it up with Why men lie and women cry - fascinating stuff. :)

Women are the devil! Nuff said. But yes, they can read maps. They just choose not too! The blank stare they give is to show you wtf cant you go do the chore instead.

I wouldn't trust a woman with a map anymore than I trust her with a chainsaw.

Women are the devil!

That reminded me of this:
Women = time x money,
We also know time = money,
Thus women = (money)^2
Then again money is the root of evil
ie money = (evil)^0.5 => (money)^2 = evil.
Hence women = evil!

Lol!

/is a woman.
/can read a map and plot a route using a map :cool:
I think that whole thing about women not being able to do so is utter nonsense.
Then again, my sister can't... :erm:

The generalised statement doesn't always hold true, but men and women (on the whole) just aren't wired the same...

The book I mentioned notes an interesting observation in the sense that women just read maps differently. 9 times out of 10, you'll see a woman turn the map as she visualises the journey... men tend not to do that.

Also, apparently women are a lot more proficient as soon as you start showing landmarks on the map...

Agreed, show (most) women a floor plan of a house and watch for the blank look on their face. The same look you get when to tell a man to do a load of washing.

I have that book. Started reading it and got bored. Is it really worth giving it another shot?
