I literally just moved by 4G LTE to Fiber 4 months ago. 100/100

Now my mom is gonna move in and she also took out fiber 2 months ago. 20/10

Both with Mweb. One Octotel and one vumatel

I believe we are both bound by 2 contracts though, 12 months?

Lol, kinda awkward.

But what now? Just have both and keep using it?

What?

Do you have both vumatel and octotel available at your house?
Are you both in contracts or not?
What's the penalty for early cancelation?

You've jumped several steps ahead to can I get 2 fibre lines...

As he said, do you have octotel and vumatel available at your house? Your mom will probably have to pay if the early termination is too expensive.

Well when she moves, she'll have to move over to Vumatel as well I suppose. If it is actually possible to have 2x fiber lines, but with Vumatel. idk our ISP is Mweb.

If I have to keep paying both, that is also fine, its only like R700 a month.
Not sure what cancellation fee is, probably not that much, unless she got a router with it as well, they might as it back?

Huh..???

When she moves she can just use your internet connection.. she can cancel whatever she has now and just pay whatever early termination fees there are..

Whatever early termination fees there are, would probably be cancelled out by the installation fee for the second fibre line anyway..

Nothing to stop two physical fibre lines from being connected to one site.
Easy IF the infrastructure provider is the same. All it involves is a second fibre/pair.
In fact, depending on the fibre cable used, it could be in the same physical cable. The cable entering my place is an 8 core cable.

Your mom leaves the fibre at the place she is currently at.... just transfer it to the new tennant\owner or pay the cancellation fee
