Can You Play On Us Servers?

Hey guys

sorry for caps in my thread title, but need a hasty response..
I am south african, but have been living in Australia for 3 years, i am returning to south africa in a couple of days.

I have been playing wow here in oz since it was released. We play on US servers in Oz, but i read a couple of things on forums etc and its my understanding that in south africa you play on the EU servers..
Is it possible to still play on the us servers, while in south africa, if i have a US version of wow?

if so is there insane latency on the US servers or anything like that? with broadband /adsl do you get crazy latency on the EU servers?

In australia with the best broadband we still get a pretty high latency playing on us servers about 400-600ms on average. Is it the same in SA?

As i said i am leaving in a couple of days, so thanks in advance and any responses would be greatly appreciated

Latency is just about exactly the same here, and you can play either on US or EU servers from South Africa, your choice
