Cancellation of Cell C contract

I no longer need my Straight Up 50 Top Up account and have been trying to submit a support ticket about cancelling it, but my query has not shown up in my support ticket history, so that doesn't seem to be working. Is there some way I can caancel without making umpteen telephone calls?

I'm also struggling to cancel my contract and the reception on their support line is so terrible I can't even hear the consultant. Why does it have to be so difficult?!?!

We apologize for the service you have experienced. Cancelling a contract shouldn't be frustrating, please PM us the number in question and an alternative contact number to reach you on.

Kindly note that in line with the terms and conditions of the subscriber agreement, you are required to provide a calendar month notice in order to have your contract cancelled on its maturity date.

If this agreement is not cancelled during the contract period or on expiry of the contract period and is not renewed, then this agreement will run for
the contract period and then on a month-to-month basis until the agreement is cancelled.

I think I may have just missed the call. It came after 5pm and I was napping. My phone stopped ring as I was reaching for it.

Guess I'll just cancel and reverse the debit order each month, still paying R80 after 10 years and I can't remember the security questions from then when I phoned them to cancel. Good luck.

I won't pass the security questions, they're trained right, don't worry I'll go to the shop to cancel, but thanks for reaching out.
 
WHY is it such a struggle to frikken cancel one's Cell C contract.! Please CAN someone provide me with the contact email. I've completed the online form but somehow doubt I'll get any joy, as 2 calls have ended in them telling me they can't help me and to call back and then conveniently just hanging up on me! TF?!

I am very frustrated and upset by your service, or should i say lack of service. I have been trying to cancel my contract since October 2024 and its just a nightmare. I am out of the country and have no need of the contract anymore. I sent an email to retentions and to customer service departments and i was told i needed to settle that month’s instalment which i promptly did. I visited SA in December but my line was still active on post paid contract! I even sent my proof of settlement to both departments in November but up to now, in April 2025, i am still being billed monthly by CellC? Honestly, when is it going to stop?
