Cancellation of TM LTE Contract

Hi All

I have about 11 months remaining on my TM 50GB contract @699p/m.
They've just started installing fibre in my area, and should be up and running before the end of July.

Does anyone know the fees and effort needed to cancel this LTE contract?

Not sure if its changed, but it used to be R800 cancellation fee + outstanding device fees.

Just wait until the fibre is installed / on and lit and applications are open. Then you should cancel otherwise you will be sitting high with penalties while waiting for the fibre to open up...

I cancelled my Telkom (ADSL) on 1st May and got my Fibre activated on the same day. I am yet to see when the cancellation goes through (and the final invoice is paid) - even though I've not used anything on it at all since then...

Yeah, apparently they have a major backlog on cancellations. I'm sitting in the same boat, had to move house. So have an empty house that's in the market that I'm paying ADSL for and my current residence with another ADSL line.

I spoke to them earlier the week and you can load a dispute with them to get the things credited... in your case kinda pointless, since I gather you no longer have an account with Telkom?

Just received my "final" invoice from Telkom (R0) so the cancellation took 2 months to go through (May and June) and July the cancellation finally went through.

So I'm off the Telkom network (will let you know if I get any more surprises in August) but the guy at the Telkom shop said I will get one "Final Invoice" and then that's it...
