Hi.

ADSL? or Telkom mobile?

If it is a Telkom Mobile and your contract period has expired, then go in the store and tell them to change your subscription from Contract to a prepaid. Tell them to do a "replace offer".... My bro went and complained in the store as to why his contract is not cancelled on time, eventually the lady behind the counter did it... I think they probably try and retain the customer, so they send you via the back office with some forms, etc that you need to email.

If it is a fixed line, print out the form (and ID copy) you sent them via email, and take it in to the store. Tell them you sent the form x number of days ago, and still no feedback. They will then scan and email it to an escalations team that is actually quite efficient and managed to cancel by bro's landline within 3 days...

Can signup for the crap on the phone with zero hassles. Yet have to jump through hoops and fill in forms to cancel.

Coke line? Usually people just say no. No need to formally cancel. Then the person to your right then takes it.

Something fishy...

The agent that sent your stuff for escalation will now have to send it to the specific manager in the escalations team... And ask them to back date the cancellation so it gets done in the next two - three days.

Try logging a bill dispute, and give the agent your form... Have you ranted on HelloPeter?

I tried to cancel my 20GB data that they signed me up for after incorrectly processing my order and charging me an installation fee... I sent the form, no response.. I went to the store, and they said the back office must do this. Then i called the call centre, and they managed to cancel it for me....

Sadly, cancelling the service altogether can't be done by the store... :(
