Hello, i am unable to connect to ANY sort of -=SGS server. I have tried Call of Duty 2, and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. The servers are not responding.

I restart my router, and then all the -=SGS servers are avilable again, i go to HLSW and check there too, yes, they are there and are refrshhing and responding. After 5-10minutes after a sucessful router restart the -=SGS servers for ALL the games stated above Do not respond and i am unable to connect.

-IS- servers are ALWAYS Available for me to connect. I see ALL of there CS:S servers. However SGS servers stay online for me for 5-10minutes after restarting my router for EVERY game hosted by SGS then NONE of them respond EXEPT for 2 CS:S servers: Dashure Sniperless and GunGame.

I have used 2 routers in this process and the outcomes have been the same, regardless of different the different routers. I try to connect. I have also requested my ISp to put me on a NEW adsl circuit (in which they did) but the outcome was still the same.

Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe SAIX is having problems... If you can connect to IS servers but not SGS servers, maybe there is a problem.

I'd suggest checking http://games.saix.net > Forums and checking to see if anyone (admin wise) has posted any downtime info.

There is NO problems regarding the servers. I have had it up to here with this Problem. Soon i will head down to the Telkom office and deal with them face to face.

i know that BF2142 used to have server maintenance on tuesdays, and you couldn't connect then between about 1000 and 1400... maybe SGS is doing the same?

Its been 2 months.

Every time i reset my router (take power off and back in) they show for 2-5min, after of which they are non - responsive at all fir several games.

I have tried 2 ADSL accounts (2 IP ranges) and still the same problem. I have tried 2 routers, still the same problem.

I have never come across this problem before however I would suggest contacting the technical support guys at your ISP. I believe that some ISPs are port-shaping to a degree which impacts on gaming. I do not have hard evidence at this stage but I have heard rumours and it might be worth investigating.

Just my 2c worth
