Cannot Register on myvodacom.secure.vodacom.co.za : ID Number already in Use

Hi,

Problem

Has anyone else had this issue, and managed to get it resolved ?

I cannot register on:
http:// myvodacom.secure.vodacom.co.za

I get this message:
ID Number or Passport Number already in use

Background

I had an account on MyVodacom
- created for my original phone number on my original SIM
- which worked successfully for a number of years

I wanted to link an additional number
- for the SIM which came bundled with a tablet purchase

Original Problem

I couldn't link my additional number into my original profile
- I never got a [ Link Number ] menu option

Following some advice on the Vodacom Community Forums
- I UN-registered
and then attempted to register again.

Apparently, for older accounts, this would "activate" the [ Link Number ] menu option

Current Problem

When I try to register again, once I get to the enter ID Number section, I get this message:
ID Number or Passport Number already in use

If I go to the Login page, and select [ Forgot Password ] and enter my original Phone number, I get:
You are not registered on the Vodacom website

Now I am totally borked ... unable to go backwards or forwards.

As usual, the Call Me Back support option does nothing ...
As usual, the Email for support option does nothing ...
As usual, the Call Centre support people are incapable of constructive support ...

Anyone got any ideas for me ?

Sorted out.

Had to call Vodacom Support and log a call to have my ID Number deleted / unregistered from the MyVodacom users.

They purged my old details, and I registered again, from scratch.

All working now.

* Can log in.
* Managed to link my 2nd number.

Hundreds to the Vodacom Call Centre Support Supervisor for some personal help - I had to throw my toys out of the cot to get to him, but he followed through.
