Thought I would give you fine bunch first dibs. I'm selling mine soon as it doesn't suit my needs and I recently purchased a 24-70 which is more practical for me.

It's as new in the box, I can probably dig up the receipt but it was purchased last year December if I remember correctly.

Looking for R3000

Which 24-70 did you get?

24-70 or not I would keep the 50mm f/1.4.

You might be expecting too much on a lens that is 3,398.00 new.

Yeah, I know it's 3398 IF you can find stock, only place I found that had stock was Fotofirst and they wanted over 4K;)

I got the Sigma Macro which I've had before and regretted selling

Too bad we're on separate continents - I might be interested. But that said, the lack of rounded aperture blades on the Canon has me leaning towards the Sigma 50mm f/1.4...

After careful consideration I have decided to flog it for R2600, I have it advertised on ODP for R2700.

If anyone here wants it just PM me.

You can have mine, if it is not broken. Maybe I just have no clue on how to use it. I am loving my Tamron 18-270 and find I rarely change it now. I try and use my 50mm f/1.4 and just get blurry images and again have the issue where it won't focus on things near me and is impossible to use in low light (which makes me think it is poked). And just for clarification, when I say 'have', I mean a merchandise for monetary exchange ;)

Sounds broken. I'll take my chances with a new one ;)

And sold, sorry...

Why are you sorry?

Got to love Amazon, phoned them (actually they phoned me with the call me service) told them the lens was poked and they have ordered me a replacement and emailed me a prepaid DHL collection form. No questions, no testing, nothing. Service with a smile :D

Yip, they're great like that. A few years ago I bought a screen from them. It worked great for a couple of weeks, then all of a sudden had a whole line of stuck pixels. Use the same "call me" feature, got a call immediately (from a real human nogal!). Got the replacement screen delivered before I even had a chance to put the old one back in the box and send it off.
