Cancelling Prepaid BIS on MTN

(MTN prepaid customer here - they have the best reception where I live)

According to the MTN customer support staff all Blackberry bundles are recurring bundles (does not matter what the USSD menu tells you or which option you select in it).

Also, if you want to cancel (don't dial *141*11# and select the cancel option) the day before your next bundle is added make sure you have no airtime so the bundle cannot be loaded. It will then be cancelled on the system.

She also sent an email somewhere for someone to cancel the bundle, but it's safer if I have no airtime.

MTN has done this before, a once off bundle is not a once off bundle. So be careful, you will not receive a SMS to tell you a bundle was loaded the airtime will simply vanish to where it cannot be refunded

Finally got through - the customer service agent is emailing the relevant department.

If anyone is interested: she also said if you have insufficient funds in your account on the day the bundle is to be loaded, it will also automatically cancel.
